The Story

During winter 2007 an icy rain helped Nick's ford focus slide toward a big wheeled recycling bin that ripped off the passenger side mirror. Nick cursed a lot. He temporarily ‘fixed’ his mirror using duct tape in the freezing rain.  Little did he know that this unhappy moment would lead to the creation of a new business!

First he went to a local car repair shop that quoted him $200. He knew he could do this simple repair job himself if he could get the part. The local auto parts store quoted him $150 for the mirror. He knew it was cheaper online. Nick ordered one from an American site after a long web search for a company that would ship this to Canada.

He got the part alright, but the UPS delivery guy wanted him to pay $45 in custom brokering fees! Nick was pissed at UPS, pissed at the American seller and pissed by the greedy Canadian auto part industry. Why does the local auto parts store charges three times the American price?

Nick decided he would solve this problem. Thus Doormirrors.ca was born. Canadians can now get quality aftermarket replacement mirrors at competitive prices without having to deal with brokering fees, exchange fees and expensive cross-border returns!

We now have over 400 different models of car and truck mirrors in stock at our warehouse in Stratford, in south western Ontario.
